FAST's Image Processing Technology
With advanced technology, FAST has achieved great success in establishing function criterion-libraries, including capabilities such as gray search, to support inspection, recognition and measurement. Furthermore, as the application of image processing technology becomes more common, there's a growing need to support this discipline without expert knowledge. To meet these demands, FAST is developing application criterion-libraries, which include industry-specific image processing algorithms.

Description of the FAST Business
1. Image Processing Business
FAST designs, develops, manufactures, markets and maintains machine vision systems. Our systems are designed for use at the automation site, which means that we also provide the original application software to install our systems on the client's production/inspection lines. Our software libraries have been integrated with all the basic functions of image processing which enable users to create various image processing application programs. We also provide a wide range of general-purpose image processing hardware platforms such as compact or high-speed machines, for executing the application software. As for the image input, our systems are compatible with many types of cameras such as standard/progressive/high-speed/high-resolution area or line cameras by using our frame grabber boards.
2. Solution Business
FAST designs, develops, manufactures, markets and maintains 3D picking solutions, specialized vision systems for Connector/FPD/Printing inspections, and non-destructive inspection systems.
Seventy to eighty percent of information which humans receive is said to come from visual perception. The shift from a human eye to a sensing (machine) eye allows us to process a much greater volume of information and promotes higher efficiency in all forms. With image processing currently being applied in so many fields, the potential benefits are limitless. FAST's vision is to realize the potential of machine vision and to create value-added services through its image processing technology.
